THICKER THAN WATER is made up of members of the Pennisi Family, residents of Lombard, IL since 1988.

Ben Pennisi, a veteran of the local music scene, formed the band with his three sons, Ben, Bob and Sam in the Spring of 2007. After seeing and hearing two of his sons in their own respective original bands, the dad got his three boys together for this family adventure.

The band's premier performance took place at a private party (thrown by the Pennisi Family) in June 2007, that got together more than 350 friends (old and new), neighbors, and family for a great night of music. The younger two boys' original bands both played as opening acts for the family show.
